Beginners: Single Slip Seat

Class Details

Considered the place to start in upholstery, a single upholstered surface in the form of a dining chair, side chair, footstool, hamper or bench lid, bench seating, vanity stool, etc...anything that is upholstered in a single surface over board.   If it's a removable board or frame no more than 3" x 20" x 30" it can be brought to class with one yard of fabric or a piece that is larger than the finished upholstered piece by at least 4" on all sides. • You will learn the technique and materials in 2 hours that will render professional results and give you confidence to progress to more advanced projects.  

Important! Email images of your intended project and fabric for approval or come in on a Saturday (open 10 to 6) to show and discuss.  

Materials fee payable to Miller Upholstering during class.  You will leave with all new material padding in your project. This will vary from student-to-student depending on nature of padding, natural fibers used vs foam+dacron, etc. Most single pad slip seats with new foam + wrap and staples, bottom cloth will cost $15-$45 depending on height of finished seat.
