Restorative Reupholstery for Vintage and Antiques Miller Upholstering is owned and operated by Helen Miller since 2001.  She recovers, and restores older furniture that hold special memories or that have character worth preserving.  She sells one-off pieces that catch her eye and beg to be saved along with specialty sewn items and a few custom made furniture pieces. She loves to collaborate with clients to match fresh new designer textiles to these worthy old frames bringing them to this century's style and purpose.

Couture and Legacy Textiles Fine fabrics are sold at Miller Upholstering from light weight wovens and prints running the gamut of fiber content and pattern, to heavy and high performance fabrics.  The fabric library at Miller Upholstering is hand selected by Helen from international design centers in the US and sourced during her travels abroad.  Depend on her knowledge and experience of 19 years to guide you in selecting a fabric that is just right for your project.

 

Custom Cushions and Pillows  Helen also fabricates and repairs cushions for built-in's as well as indoor/outdoor areas and furniture frames.   Expert in working with woodworkers, designers and architects at every stage of creating seating arrangements, as well as residential clients refilling older seating of quality furnishings.

Soft Home Furnishings Throw pillows, toss pillows, bolsters, stuffed ottomans, benches - any variety of small cushions used as room accents professionally sewn and finished are always a pleasure to fabricate in collaboration with client's desired scheme.  Helen works with boutique owners, fiber artists, textile collectors, interior designers, loft, apartment, urban and country dwellers to provide unique soft furnishings for each.

 Collected new and vintage textiles enhance new and antique furnishings in this living room in London Burough of Hackney.  Designers Guild  velvets along with woven and printed silks make up a John Lewis sofa's mix of pillows. Helen says, “Have great projects? Will travel!”
